HOMESTEAD: From Final Proof dated July 3, 1914. Homestead Entry No.02480-07851, Stearling CO dated June 19, 1909, and February 3, 1909,for the NW 1/4 an SW1/4 Section 11, Township 1 N, Range 47 W. 6thPrincipal Meridian. Claude completed his house on May 30, 1909,and began living in it that day. The following is from the originalwith minor alterations: The cultivated land includes 60 acres inN1/2NW1/4, 80 acres in the S1/2NW1/4, 44 acres in the N1/2SW1/4, and33 acres in the S1/2SW1/4. 1909 cultivated 25 acres to corn, raisedfeed. 1910 cultivated 110 acres to hersey, corn, raised 500 bushelscorn & H. 1911 cultivated 140 acres to corn & milo & oats, raised 800bushels 1912 cultivated 165 acres to corn, wheat, oats & milo, raised500 bushels corn, 40 bushels wheat, about 10 bushels feed. 1913cultivated 200 acres to corn, oats, barley, rye. Raised about 400bushels corn, 220 cushels wheat, 150 bushels rye, and barley for feed.1914 I have 217 acres to corn, wheat, oats and hersey. Improvementsare on the N1/2 NW1/4 I have a habitable house 22 by 24 feet,constructed of cement block and brick with a shingle roof. It has 3rooms, a pantry and closet and 14 by 22 foot basement. The barn is 16by 90 feet, the grainery is 28 by 32 feet, the hoh (sic) stable 26 by40 feet, the machine shed is 22 by 28 feet. There are 3 wells with 300feet of underground pipe. There is a cement water tank and cistern,and a cattle dipping plant. The land is all fenced and cross fencedwith three strand wire fence. There are 500 growing trees. The valueis $2,066.92 actual material. Title from the United Stated wasobtained November 6, 1914 for W1/2 Section 11 Township 1 North, Range47 West, for 320 acres.
