OBITUARY: Bertha Pearl Mann, was born at Little Sioux, IA, 29 Jul 1886to George and Emma Vredenburgh and passed away at her home atMoorhead, IA 29 Nov at the age of 76 years and four months. In herearly girlhood she was united with the RLDS and was a faithful memberall her life. In 1903 at Moorhead, IA, she was married to Carl Mann,who preceded her in death in 1950. To this union was born eightchildren all of whom survive their parents. They are Mrs. OpalGohring, Onawa, IA; Mrs. Geraldean Marquis, Eugene, OR; Mrs. ZonaBell,Moorhead, IA; Edwin Mann, Huron, SD; Mrs. Emma Mortensen,Moorhead, IA; Willard Mann, Denver, CO; Gale Mann, Omaha, NE; andHoward Mann, West Berlin, Germany. She is also survived by 17grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; a brother Rex Vredenburgh,Moorhead, IA; a half brother, Dean Mann, Woodbine, IA; a step-sister,Mrs. Effie Fromme, Hemet, CA, and innumerable friends. Besides herhusband, she was precede in death by a brother and two sisters, whodied in childhood and by her parents. Funeral services were held inthe RLDS Church at Moorhead, IA, 1 Dec, and interment was at theMoorhead Cemetery. Elder George Njeim officiating, assisted by ElderWilbur Mann. Mrs. John Ballantyne and Mrs. Walter Johnson sang "GoingDown the Valley" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. EarlJones at the organ. Pall bearers were Gordon Mann, Dale Vredenburgh,Cloyd Mann, Loren Mann, Louis Baeth and Clifford Thogersen.
