The family resided at Clear Lake, SD. In a typewritten card fileon the Descendants of Henry True "of Salem", compiled by my father,Oscar True Babcock, Mary's birthdate is given as Sep. 25, 1845. Inanother document, handwritten (but I believe it is my father'shandwriting) the date of birth is given as 7-1-1843. The 1845 datewould make her date of birth only a month before that of her sisterAbigail. I consider that possibility highly unlikely, so I here usethe 1843 date.
