BIO: With brothers Johannis and Hendrick were some of
the original settlers of Fishkill, Dutchess County.
William moved back to the Shawangunk area in about 1750
when his wife Janneke Hofman inherited property from
her father Zacharius along the Wallkill river. We find
records of this branch of the family in Shawangunk and
Orange County Church and Cemetery Records.
