Vredenburgh, after a short illness of typhoid fever and
nervous prostration, Amos passed away at the home of his
parents, Sun evening 8 Feb 1903, aged 34 years, 1 month and
19 days. Born in Harrison County, 20 Dec 1868, leaves a wife
and 3 children, funeral by Elder Smith of Independence, MO
from LDS Church Tuesday.

(Bellflower) - Memorial service for Mark R.
Vredenburgh, 75, of 9702 E. Palm Ave., will be
conducted at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Wee Kirk O' the
Heather, with internment in Forest Lawn. He died
Saturday in his home. A native of Iowa and a resident
of that state for 39 [69] years, he came to California
in 1945. Surviving are the widow, Orpha D. Vredenburgh:
son, Clifford of Lakewood Village, and grandsons David
and Robert, the latter with the Army in Korea.
BURIAL: Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA.,
Space(s) 1 and 2, Lot 96, Memorial Slope Section

OBITUARY: Onawa Democrat, 8 Mar 1962; Word has been
received by friends in Blencoe of the death of Mrs.
Orpha D. Vredenburgh, who passed away 26 Feb 1962 in
Bellflower, CA. Funeral services were held 28 Feb at
one thirty p.m. at the Wee Kirk o' the Heather and
conducted by Frank W. Malcom. Interment was in the
Forest Lawn Memorial Park at Glendale, CA, under the
direction of the Forest Lawn Mortuary. The Vredenburgh
family formerly resided in Blencoe, but left for CA
some 15 years ago. Her husband Mark, passed away about
8 years ago. Among the survivors is a son Clifford who
is Professor of Languages at the Long Beach Junior
College.
